Besides domestic cats, CLAWS also takes an interest in feral cats.  These are cats that for one reason or another have been thrown out of their homes or abandoned and have gone back to nature and live off their wits to survive.

These animals are either too wild or nervous to go to a domestic home, so they need an outdoor life.  This will certainly be true if the cat has been born feral and has had no human contact within the first 12 weeks of life.

If you have stables, kennels, a small holding or a cattery that has its own feed store you may be troubled by rats or mice.  Feral cats make a safe alternative to poisoned bait.  They catch and kill the vermin whilst your other animals remain safe.

So, for the price of two meals a day (a well fed hunter is a good hunter) your livestock is safe and so is your feed.

All our feral cats are blood tested for FELV/FIV and are neutered.
