Many
cats are taken into CLAWS that are unsuitable for re-homing
for a variety of reasons.
With
reference to our mission statement, we will not destroy
any animal simply because it is wild, handicapped or sick
unless our vet determines that the quality and expectancy
of life is so poor that the animal can only continue to
live under suffering and stress. This is our
duty and pledge to the animals in our care and it is never
negotiable.
We
have a number of cats in our long term care that fit into
this category and we can always expect more to come to us.
